2008년 11월 13일 부터 15일까지 부산 BEXCO 에서 열린 부산국제수산무역 EXPO에 참가한 모습입니다.
저전력 고효율을 강점으로 두고 있는 루미다스 전구로 전시회에 참가한 모습입니다.
갈치잡이 어선에 보급한 발광다이오드(LED·Light Emitting Diode) 집어등의 연료절감 효과가 매우 큰 것으로 분석됐다.
6일 제주도에 따르면, 지난 6월부터 1500만~2000만원 가량 들어가는 LED 집어등 시설비의 70%를 지원해가며 메탈램프형 집어등을 교체하고 있다.
제주도는 그 효과를 분석하기 위해 LED 집어등을 단 9.7t급 어선인 '유정호'와 메탈램프형 집어등을 쓰는 10t급 신일호와 남경호가 갈치 조업으로 사용한 연료소비량과 어획량을 분석했다.
그 결과 신일호와 남경호는 1일 평균 유류소비량이 437L인데 비해 유정호는 214L로 나타나 51%(223L)가 적었다. 어선이 이동하지 않고 순수하게 집어등을 밝히는 데 소모되는 유류량은 LED가 메탈램프의 20% 정도인 30L에 불과했다.
1일 평균 갈치어획량은 유정호가 279마리로 다른 어선들의 260마리와 비슷한 수준을 보였다.
제주도는 LED 집어등 설치 지원사업이 기후변화에 따른 온실가스 감축효과도 큰 만큼 내년부터는 국비지원 사업으로 확대, 지원해 나갈 계획이다.

According to Jeju Province, the local governement has supported 70% of the installation fee for the light for collecting fish to replace the metal lights of collecting fish.
The government has analyzed the amount of energy comsumption and catch of fish in a ship using a LED light and the other using a metal lamp.
The result is that the energy comsumption is reduced down to 49% and the energy consumption just for the purpose of collecting fush is reduced down to 20%.
But, the amount of catch is similar in the two ships.
So, the local government has a plan to support more for replacing into the LED lighting.
