85-Inch Inspection Light Source with 96% Uniformity and Built-In Brightness Control

Lumispace, a leading provider of custom LED lighting solutions, announced on May 6 that it has successfully delivered an 85-inch dedicated LED backlight for display inspection to a major European electronics manufacturer. This backlight features 96% light uniformity, high-brightness output, and integrated brightness control functionality.

This export marks a rare achievement in the field of high-brightness and high-uniformity inspection lighting systems for large-format monitor backlights. The product will be used in the quality inspection process of next-generation display production lines in Europe.

As a result, Lumispace has strengthened its position as a recognized global technology provider in the field of extensive display quality evaluation.

The delivered product is a specialized lighting system designed to inspect the entire front surface of an 85-inch (diagonal 2159mm) display. 

Based on a 16:9 aspect ratio, the light-emitting area precisely covers approximately 1882 mm (W) × 1059 mm (H).

By applying its proprietary high-efficiency backlight structure and optimized LED light distribution technology, Lumispace achieved over 96% uniformity and high-luminance output, while also integrating dimmer functionality tailored to on-site requirements. This allows for precise detection of dead pixels, unlit zones, and color uniformity issues.

This project represents a successful case of supplying inspection equipment to a next-generation display quality evaluation process led by a European electronics company. Lumispace managed the entire process—from design, fabrication, and inspection to final packaging—as a fully customized solution to meet the client’s specifications.
